Ilona Glastonbury is a Barossa Valley based potter and Instagram for Quiet Creatives educator.
Ilona Glastonbury is an experienced ceramist turned Instagram expert and small business coach who brings her savvy marketing skills and passion for creativity together to help folk navigate Instagram in an authentic and meaningful way.
Focusing on how to navigate loud spaces like Instagram while maintaining authenticity and integrity, she helps you get comfortable in your marketing endeavors resulting in comfortably increasing your reach, growth and sales goals.
Ilona says “I’ve been on Instagram for a long time now and have a particular interest in the psychology behind how it operates. I like to work out the intention behind the algorithm changes and then how to game the system so that even small, quiet accounts like my own can take advantage of the in-built opportunities for organic reach and growth.”
Letters to Quiet Creatives
Letters to Quiet Creatives is Ilona’s free weekly ramble on Substack, aimed at those with the quieter aesthetic (if you’re into Tik Tok and loud reels, it’s the opposite of that). In Letters Ilona explores what’s been happening in Instagram and how to market your offerings in a quiet and authentic way. Ilona often picks apart official lines about what creators ‘should be doing’, analyses them for what the real motive behind them is, and looks for ways to move past the resistance that shows up when Instagram’s algorithm seems stacked against introverted creatives. The sorts of people who subscribe to Letters to Quiet Creatives include artists, boutique air BnB operators, florists, potters, perfumers and craft folk.
